United ISD Thanks United Day School And Partners for Helping our Students!

Friday, August 26th, 2016

Two years ago, United Day School student Isabella Martinez and some friends realized that many students in our community needed help in obtaining school supplies. The enterprising students decided to launch an annual lemonade fundraiser to gather money for the cause. What originally began as a fun pastime turned into an annual project that parents used to teach their children about the importance of helping others. Students who took part in this years’ lemonade fundraiser ranged in ages from 4-7. This year’s effort raised a total of $1200.00, which was equally divided into donations of $600.00 each for United ISD and Laredo ISD. Additionally, two local elementary schools and a family received boxes of school supplies. Sponsors included Estrella Provider Services, Too Cute Paperie and Advanced Spine Pain Solutions.
